What is with the starcraft2?

I heard so many rumors that starcraft2 is coming out and things in it but then i heard that no Blizzard has not started to make it so what is what?

There is no Starcraft 2 in development atm, the only Starcraft game thats in development right now is Starcraft Ghost which is a tactical console shooter not unlike Metal Gear Solid.

that would be a real shallow thing to do on blizzards part, to make the starcraft ghosts game for ps2, GC, and Xbox and not for the PC. When orginally it was starcraft that was released on the PC. which leads me to beleive that blizzard is making a seperate game aka starcraft 2 for the PC, only it hasnt been announced yet.

That sounds more realistic. Blizzard is a very smart company. Waiting for WC3 to be released felt like eons. But when the game finally came out, it was just right. If they were to release a separate Star Craft at the same time as Ghost, it would sell big. Personally, I can't wait for a sequel to Diablo. I just can't get enough of that game. I probably beat both Diablo and Diablo 2 a bajillion times already.

Oh heck yeah man, Diablo III or something to that extent. I think Blizzard should go for Starcraft 2 cause people would pretty much kill to get a copy of that game. Then get Diablo III out...

after WOW, the likely game is Diablo3 rather than starcraft2. Reason is because they just came out with warcraft3. They have yet to release the expansion for it. If they release 2 rts games in a row, they will be kicking themselves for the loss of money. Some people take a year to buy a new game.

I dont know about Diablo 3, but there will definitely be an expansion for Warcraft 3 in late 2003 or mid 2004

ya i know but i don't know y they just won't make starcraft 2 it would be the best... but nnnooo they have to make that thing with starcraft ghost i just want them to make Starcraft 2!

patience is essential in maximizing your next Blizzard fix, they know their addicts well and will release something just before they go into withdrawl.

WoW is going to be no small feat for Blizzard to acheive and they prolly have a sizable majority of their people working on it. Blizzard has to date developed a reputation as producing big hits when they drop (very similar to id). And with the fanatic like sucess of wc3 I will place money that they are not about to drop the ball.

While Blizzard is investing effort in Ghost, I am sure that since it is not exclusivly their effort, there position there is mostly just for model accuracy and to make sure that the real developer isnt really creating some willy nilly store line that Blizzard doesnt agree with.

If you beat Warcraft 3 on the hard setting, you can get this little bonus thing that let's you see a bunch of stuff of them screwing around. I'm not sure if it's a preview of starcraft 2 or just the blizzard guys having fun and modding the warcraft 3 engine. But you can see a bunch of terran marines kill a bunch of zergs, then a bunch of orcs in space suits shoot up the marines. It's kinda neat to watch but I dunno what it is exactly.

first off the diablo series is done by Blizzard North, not Blizzard, which is a totally different operation. So they could develop a diablo game while doing a sc or wc series game... but no more diablo games have been announced. Second, Blizzard got started programming console games... so them making a game for the xbox/ps2/gc or what ever isn't all that out of line... besides that kind of game is the kind of game that sells much better on a console... that's why games like metal gear solid don't sell any copies on a pc, and why games like SC don't sell on a console... it's just two different enviroments. I think Blizzard is making a smart move expanding their basis.

Frogmire, if you make Custom maps on WC3 then you have the option of putting in marines, zergling and hydras. They have already been put in many custom maps. I do not have the game myself so i havn't seen the total selection of unites, but i believe there is also a firebat type which is called something like "orc in space". Not sure if there's any tos characters in the game...would make sense if there was a zlot and a goon cuz then they'd have first 2 units of the 3 races.
