ISA to PCI adapter is there such a thing?

I got a $500 video TBC device that's pretty new but it's runs on a ISA slot. and it's forced to be run off a PIII500 mhz cpu.

is there some kinda of adaptor that let me use it the PCI slot on my new Athlon XP 1800+ system?

I doubt it..as ISA is only 16bit and PCI can be 32/64bit. I don't think there is such a thing anyway. Why not buy one of those *newer* socket 370 transitional boards that have both PCI and ISA, and run your ISA card from there (of course, buy a new socket 370 processors, maybe even a 1.2 celly) Hope this helps.

It cant happen, the spacing wouidnt allow for it to fit in a standard case, plus there are too many empty contacts that the PCI bus like to have active.

You can find a PIII Tualatin motherboard with an ISA slot. I use the Biostar M6VCT. It can support up to a PIII 1.2GHz w/256K cache, and has one PCI/ISA shared slot. I bought it because I wanted to use my true hardware internal 56k modem after college until I was in a position to pay for cable.

The Abit KT7A motherboard has an ISA slot and can run an Athlon XP 1800+. I don't know of a newer AMD motherboard off the top of my head that has an ISA slot.
