    Saw DOOM III today

My friend somehow got the E3 demo of it. Graphics-REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD! I mean not just some parts EVERY single last object is ****ing done to perfection. However with all the settings up the game doesnt run real smooth even on my friends radeon 9700 pro.

Oh yeah and its scary as ****. I nearly crapped my pants. When the monsters get you, u get a nice first person view of them picking you off the ground, ripping into your intestines and such. At some point i remember seeing the bottom half of my body somewhere on the ground, I nearly threw up.

I havent seen the game in motion, but all the screen shots I have seen have really low polygon models.

This demo has been out for awhile now. I don't think my computer will play it very well though.

Oh whatever it plays great on my pc. Especially when I just sit and shoot zombies with my machine gun over and over so I get the maximum amount of blood on the screen. The fps are just through the roof when I do that

Well I finally got it to run and I must say it looks pretty. Kind of the same old present wrapped up in new paper w/ a bow though. I don't think I'll be buying it unless they do something fun w/ multiplayer or there are some great mods released for it.

Ran fairly well 25-45fps... Guess I can't expect much better for my system..

or a 3 level tech demo that has none of the storylines implemented.

Yeah the storyline will be deep I hear..

You've arrived on a moon base.... blah..gate... blah... demons... blah blah...kill.. blah.. evil.. blah... undead... etc..

That will make the game much more interesting to me

Plus the fact that Carmack even said the AI is going to be practically retarded..

You know Adisharr the only place I have ever found intelligent zombies was in AD&D, I guess there is something fundamentally wrong with the premise that you have the walking dead and the ability to formulate plans an think decisivly.

Besides thinking too much complicates one primal urge to kill.

There seem to be quite a few different types other than zombies.. they all just seem to run right at you though. I dunno maybe I expect more from a game these days. The eye candy just doesn't do it alone for me anymore..

    Did I mention it's pretty?

I have to agree with Adisharr here. If Doom III is just a pretty Serious Sam, I'm going to be pissed.

Sure, I love holding down the fire button and running around just like everyone else, but come on! If I want to that I'll just buy Beachhead 2000 and lock myself in the attic, then I (really big I) will become the Zombie.

But, I'm not holding my breath either for fear of another Daika-Carmak.

If they can make feel the same way when I first played Doom I, with Doom III , then that would be just freaky awesome.
