GO BENGALS!!!!!
Opera 7 Beta is out!
Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you that Opera 7 Beta was released today. Check it out: http://www.majorgeeks.com/article.php?sid=559&cat=5
I wasn't real impressed by it. I prefer Opera 6.05.

What didn't you like about it?
I'm using Opera 6.05 (cracked), and was planning to buy a legitimate copy of Opera 7 when it came out. I realize that alternative browsers will always have compatibility issues with certain websites, and I like Opera 6 enough for it to have replaced IE as my primary browser - but it crashes a lot, where IE6 hasn't crashed on me even once. I'd really like to know that Opera 7 is an improvement before I pay for it, otherwise I might just give Mozilla a shot. I don't want to continue pirating.

I have also noticed Opera six is plagued by some stability issues, and was really hoping for fixes in 7. Still have my fingers crossed.
I use Mozilla (1.2b) has my #1 browser now, and have not had any problems beyond rendering some MS sites incorrectly. The 1.2final should be out fairly soon, which would be shortly followed by a 1.3alpha.

Are there any specific reasons why you prefer Mozilla over Opera, or do you just find it to be an overall better experience?

I love Opera's speed, but it does not always render pages correctly. Mozilla is as fast, and it does correctly display all sites. I used Opera first, though, so I tend to open it first for browsing.

I've used Opera6 now for windows. I love it.
I've just got my winmodem to work under linux and am posting under mozilla now. First time use of this browser.
Impressions? faster? or at least the same speed as opera. Faster than netscape7 and Explorer6.
In fact mozilla is faster than konquorer! konquorer is "perdy" and it's look/feel integrates into KDE (this is good IMO).
Basically Opera is fast! - as is Mozilla, and Konquorer is close behind.
Netscape7/IE6 are sluggish in comparison to the above browsers.
I like Opera! and wish them success in sales!
