What to do with an extra XP 1700?
Ok I have an extra AMD XP1700 a extra hard drive and thats about the end of my extra componants .
I was trying to figure out what the cheapest way to go is when building a pc for the woman that could double as a low end gaming machine for friends that visit.
So far Im thinking an Nforce board maybe a DDR Nforce and some type of generic cd rom and floppy? And a decent case. Hopefully one that is easy to work in.
any ideas?

NFORCE will not work for newer games. Just go with a This board for now. Asus A7N266-VM AA (AMD Assured Version) NVIDIA nFORCE 220 Chipset 266/200MHz FSB Motherboard Micro ATX- Retail
its 72$, everything on-board. Then when you have more money put an 8500LE or 9000 and you are set
