Anyway to use POP3 mail clients on AOL mails?

as much as I hate AOL I'm still in need of an account that I have for the email.

I do not have the aol software so I usually get my email through their webbased email system. to put it nicely that web-based email sucks cow nutsack.

is there a way that will let me use a POP3 mail client like outlook express (which I use) to get my AOLame mail?

    thanks in advance

Not that I'm aware of. If they allowed you to use a POP3 client, they couldn't shove their ads down your throat. Now, they couldn't let that happen, could they?

SkyDog is right. I recently spent about a week trying to find a way around their crappy software. There isn't one. Even if you were to get another e-mail client to access the AOL account, you couldn't read the messages - they use a proprietary format.
