I have a SIIG IDE board with a Silicon Image SilO680CL144 chip on it. The SIIG website says that this card is only good as an IDE card (SC-PE4B12), but the RAID version of the card looks identical, used the 680 chip (I am not sure about the CL144 though) and is denoted by SC-PR4B12. There is a jumper on the card that says open = IDE, short = RAID. Does anyone know anything about this card or chip? Can I make it work as a RAID card? I really would love to have a RAID card, but I can't afford to buy a new one (I got this one for free) Any help is always appreciated.
