New competitor for king of the 2.1s? EV SonicXS
Apparently the EV SonicXS is quite a nice setup. With 4" woofers and 1" tweeters on the satellites it's kind of hard to go wrong.
With the same MSRP as the Diva Swan M200s, I suppose this will become analogous to the Z560/Promedia debate. The SonicXS are really loud and sound good, whereas the M200s are somewhat quieter and sound great. All in all, I just think it's nice that there are now more options in the top-of-the-line computer speaker category.
They can be had here for a mere $178. Anybody have personal experience with these that they don't mind sharing?

They are a sound system Manufactured by Telex, A company that makes numerous varieties of Industrial audio equipment, mostly PA based and 2 way voice interaction (like intercoms).
The fact that they look like your standard floor standing speakers (the kind you pull out of Music store catalogues, not from Audio stores) does not surprise me much, pretty much a blatant play on imagery. I listen to these (or a similar model, there is a whole line) at CompUSA. Their 4.1 setup; as compared to Logitech, Klipsch and Altec, was unimpressive to say the least, it looks as though they tried to borrow traits best traits from most competitors.
-Horn loaded Tweeters from Klipsch
-Larger midbass driver in the satelite ala Logitech.
And of course a tiny driver in the sub with a very large baffle/port ala Bose
All in all very weak.

What makes you think horn loaded tweeters are an advantage? They sound harsh and screechy to me...

Well I am glad to hear that your opinion makes or breaks the MM audio world.
I am reproducing an observation, I see no other real COMPETITORS in the MM market with horn loaded tweeters, and Klipsch (who happens to be a competitor) uses horn loaded tweeters.
Its like simple ABC logic, there is no personal prefrence involved.
