    Arrow Nvidia to ATI

Just wondering who has Nvidia based card now and who is going to get a ATI 9500pro or 9700pro and forget about getting a NV30 in Feb or Mar or whenever it comes, or both.

I think there are more people waiting for Feb/March to roll in, so they can see how much the 9700pro is selling for by then. Also, people are waiting for official benchmarks, to see if the NV30 is worth the extra dough.

I have no loyalty to any one company. I will buy whatever product has the features I want, performs the way I want, and will fit within the budget I have to work.

I gave up even waiting for a future review date to come out let alone when the nv30 will be on the shelves.

I cant believe not one large reviewer can get their hands on this card. I think Nvidia is hidding something.

Price vs. Performance - whichever company has it when I buy my next card will get my money. I care not who.

I may upgrade with the release of Xabre II. There's no option for this. I have a 9700 Pro right now, nVidia cards are nice but they never burn-in any. You can always burn-in ATi cards which is what I like.

    What he said.

Though I won't be buying new hardware anytime soon.

For some reason it seems strange to me to purchase an ATI, but I think that is because nVidia has been on top for so long. Got my eye on the 9500 Pro, but can wait until Jan to see if prices drop a bit. Dont think I can hold out for NV to show up...

I'm sorry, but I'll never go back to ATi, I've thought of the Radeon 9700 pro and 9700 a few times, heck, for a while, but my last Radeon I had, I disliked very much. It was the Radeon VE, and yes, I know it is now out dated, but my move to the nvidia line was my best choice I've ever made. Not that I hate ATi, there products are good, but don't give me what I want. I don't need to edit video, I just wanna play games with stability, and what not. I've heard that ATi has picked up on that too, but I'm not gonna risk it, and I also think I'm very comfortable with nvidia, and I also think that the wait will be worth it.

That's just my opinion though. Also, not many people wanna pay $599 for the nvidia GeForce FX 5800 ULTRA
