Worth it to add fans to the chieftech case?
Ok i'm planning on putting together an intel system in about a month or so and i've begun buying parts like case, floppy, dvd, burner, PS and so on. I'm waiting on the parts that will drop in price like the cpu, mobo, video and so on. I'm planning on the 3.06 ghz cpu so what I was wondering is that the case I have already needs 2 more fans for the empty spots? (chieftech ax-01bld) Its the 93.00 on newegg.

You shouldn't have any heat problems with those 2 fans.

I got the Antec version of that case and I bought 2 extra Sunon 80mm fans, if you have those 5 fans setup (2 intake in front, 1 intake on side, 2 exhaust), youll have a killer cooling setup.

This one doesn't have one on the side, just a plexiglass window. So that just leaves the two in back and a spot for two up front.

I would add a intake to the front for optimal cooling.

You should add as much intake as there is exhaust. I'm not too sure how much CFM the rear fans push, though.
At least have a fan on the hard drive cage. Any ventilation on that is a lot better than none.

Oh yeah...I have an Antec 1040, and it is very beneficiary to buy those extra fans. Just make sure that you have them all going blowing the proper way. I believe that you want the ones in the back of the case (right where the CPU would be on your MoBo) blowing the air out of the case, and the ones in the front of the case pulling air into the case.
Remember back to your fourth-grade science class, heat rises. So, you want the higher fans to get rid of the hot air.
------Here's an edit because I forgot to add it the first time--------
And they're just 80mm fans...They're really cheap...Seeing as how you're looking into getting the new Hyper-Threading CPU, it sounds like money isn't really a matter here. You might as well shell out the extra $10 (or less) for the two extra fans!

As a rule of thumb... fill up the fan slots in the case, if in doubt drill some more.
