    lol, AGP 1.0

I would have to suggest a mobo upgrade. Short of that, any PCI video card should work since most are backwards compatible. Any card you get will be limited by the bus and you won't see the performance that you paid for because of this. Motherboards are pretty cheap now, you should be able to find a compatible board for cheap even one that has an real AGP slot.

By the way how much do you get out of that p3 , does it have a real
chipset you should throw a 1.4ghz chip in it and go to 1.5....

Any card except for a GF4ti will run on AGP 1.0 Not sure about ATI's 9500+ series but either of these high end card would be wasted on a 500.

I think a radeon 9000 would be a good fit. Plenty of power for the K6II. Its DX8. Its cheap and it should'nt chew too much juice. Voltage drop is probably the main concern since the older CPU's like the K6 run on the 3.3v rail along with the video card and ram.
    Q6600 (GO), Zalman CNPS 9700, Gigabyte P35-DS3P, 4G Kingston 6400 C5, Leadtek PX 8800 GT ZL (650/1800)
2x WD 500GB SATA, ASUS + Pioneer DVRW, Antec Sonata lll case, Samsung 226BW 22"LCD, Logitech X540 7.1 speakers, Logitech G5 mouse

    3GHz(9x333), stock Vcore, stock cooler
    3.2GHz(8x400), +0.050vcore (gaming, 24/7)
    3.6GHz(9x400), +0.150vcore (3DMark01 60769)
    3.8GHz(9x422), 1.5v min(set) (3d01 62926, 3d03 42285, Crysis High 1680x1050 34fps) Ouch! She’s hot!

Trying to realistically see a Radeon 9000 run well on that.
THe K6-ii probably has the power or those first celerons. Thus, an original Radeon or a GF2 at best.
