    Best Athlon XP for Overclocking???

I have a KT266 chipset board, the epox 8KHA with a T-Bird 1.2 ghz, oced to 1.44, and my board supports a multiplier up to 15, and FSB to 200, i know i can't really count on that FSB number, but the real question is, what is the best AMD XP for overclocking? And can the XP multiplier be unlocked?

In the budget one the best bet is the q.13 XP1800 Tbred A wich will do at least 2.0 ghz without problems.

And to go along with your 1800+ tbred A a slk800. But if you can wait alittle while the 1800+ is going to be introduced in the Tbred B core and should offer an even higher overclock. In the high end the newest stepping for the tbred b seems to be doing awsome.

A " little while" means 4 monts , the B core will start to be produced in low end CPU's in late february , mid march , and will reach stores in april .

It might be worth the wait. I dont not think 2.0 Ghz is a given from what I have read 1.85 Ghz is the given with many hitting over 2.0. The jump from 1.44 to 1.85 is a nice jump for the money but you just won't see that much change in your rig in eveyday use. With the "B" core you have a chance of hitting 2.2 or higher. That is almost twice the jump. If you have Xmas money burning a whole in your pocket go for the 1800 T-bred out of all the availible XP's right now.
