    Question Printer driver problem

    I am trying to reinstall the drivers for my Canon S900 printer. I downloaded the latest drivers from Canon's www site. But when I try to install I get the following error message:

    Print data left in print queue. Cancel printing or delete print data, then try again.
    As far as I know I don't have anything in my print queue, so I'm not sure why it is complaining about that. I am running WinXP Pro, and I downloaded the proper drivers from Canon's www site. I also get the same error when trying to install the older drivers from the CD Rom that came with my printer.

    Any solutions?

    Try this;
    Delete the printer (if it exists) in Print Manager
    Shut down the PC and unplug the printer from your PC and reboot.
    Access the registry and remove all referneces to it, then reboot again.
    If it is a USB connection. Plug in the cable once the PC is up and follow the prompts for installing the driver.
    If it is a parallel port connection, with the PC powered off, plug in the cable. Boot up the system(Windows should see the printer), and follow the prompts for installing the drivers.

    Good Luck
