    Question Playing Consoles on Monitor?

Hey guys, I would like to run my PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube signals (two component, one s-video) through my monitor. I have been searching for a good method to do this and all I came across was Keydigitals systems X-Blaster. Which allows Progressive scan output to a monitor. But I need all outputs to my monitor including the PS2, and would like all hooked up including my PC at the same time?

    Any Ideas?

And you may ask WHY? But the honest truth is my wife is making me move my 36" HDTV (panasonic) up into the family room and my game systems arent allowed to follow! =( Yeah Yeah I know you can hear the damn whip.

Anyways I would like a central place to play everything aswell, and heard some good things about progressive video onto monitors! So any advice or ideas would be most welcome!!

    THanks alot!

Gonna cost you. Check at electronics boutique. I have a VGA box that they had that can take both GC and X-box. That way you only have to buy 2. I have my GC hooked up to my PC. One switch and I can have PC or GC. I'll miss doing that when I finally get a decent TV.

The consensus was it depends on how good your TV is. If you have an old TV you got for free like me with the old inputs then the VGA box is going to make your games look great but if you have a new TV with the advanced inputs then it won't be much of a difference. Can't say how much, I can only report on the low end.

I would like to know what setup Electronics Boutique had for thier demo GC monitor or TV. Metroid looked even clearer then my PC does and noticably so. Im gonna call em and find out how good that monitor was and how it was hooked up. I imagine it's some good equipment.

The reason why I started to peak interest in this subject was an article at www.avault.com the article link is

    http://www.avault.com/articles/getar...?name=progscan

Anyhow the draw back was even though the GC games and Xbox games that support progressive scan looked great the device wouldnt support non Progressive compatible games. SO that leaves my PS2 out in the dark... =( I need to make my monitor the central gaming area in my home because of my situation stated above. And I need the best picture possible and it sucks that there isnt a fix all for all the systems...

Didn't have em at EB when I was there over the weekend buying MX Superfly. Try Best Buy or Media Play. If you like motocross games Superfly is awesome. I ride also ('96 KX 250, '99 KTM 300 EXC) so I can't stop playing this game. Be nice to see an enduro (trails riding, as in through the forest) game someday as that's the kinda riding I do.
