Exclamation laptops don't have DVI connectors????!!!!

I was planning on buying a laptop and a new monitor because the ones that laptops come with are too small to work out of on a daily basis. Some laptops come with 16" monitors but then they're too heavy. I was going to splurge for a 19" flat panel LCD until I found out that laptops don't come with a DVI connector.

Is there a big picture difference when hooking up an LCD flat panel monitor using an analog vs. DVI connector? If there is a big difference, then maybe I shouldn't get a laptop, and I should get a cheap desktop with a good video card. I only surf the web, don't play video games or do graphics editing. I just surf the net, but want a REALLY bright and crisp display. If I'm going to spend money, I thought I should get something portable, but I won't do it if the picture quality of an EXPENSIVE LCD would be greatly compromised by a laptop.

FYI, The two laptops I'm considering are :
1)Fujitsu E7110: external max resolution 1600x1200, 64K colors, ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 graphics controller w/4X AGP, integrated 32MB DDR266 video memory.
2)Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100: 1400x1200 max resolution, 16M colors, NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go graphics controller, 32MB DDR external video memory.
3)Is there a laptop you think would be a better fit?

A desktop might be your best bet but if you're interested in a laptop then you might want to consider apple's powerbook series. They have native DVI support on some of their laptops. There are also some laptop models which offer docking stations with DVI out although I don't remember which ones.
