Whats the best for P4's and whats the deal with Zalman coolers?

Zalman makes the best passive coolers, their active coolers are mediocrity at best.

If you don't intend to do some amazing OCing, just stick with the retail cooler. If you intend to do some real OCing and don't want to go watercooling, the Alpha PAL8942 and Swifty MCX4000 are about equal and are excellent heatsinks.

If look at a lot of people's sig you'll see that the retail cooler works pretty well even with hardcore OCing. As for zalman, their geared towards the average pc user who doesn't want to deal with noise whatsoever.
