i stayed with 2.5 for ages and ive got 2.8 or summat at the minute. i stick with it coz u can set it so that as soon as you double click the icon it goes into random play and sits in the tray without repetition.

3 you double click and few seconds later its might have loaded, but then it might start repeating songs at you, i dont care about the looks coz i dont really want to see the damn thing.

    never mind tho eh?

ive been using winamp since the 1.xx dayz and the 2.xx versions ran nicely on my old Pentium 233 MMX with 48MB of RAM....i use version 2.81 now and got rid of Winamp 3 after about 30 mins of use....only thing is Winamp 3 sounds better but that far from enuff to deal with it

    NO PROBS HERE WITH WINAMP3

run like a dream and I notice nothing even can run it behind programs ie GTA 3 (I know it has it's own MP3 player) battlefield 1942. I doubleclick the exe and bang it's there. Only thing that pisses me off is that Ge-Force does not run with it. But with my Audigy 2 I got some Traktor DJ mixing etc player. Now that is quite a find for me. Love the scratching function

    Talking

Either one runs fine on my system. However, I do love the 2.xx version. It is cleaner and use less resource on my computer. Plus, I do like the shuffle at the beginning, which the 3.xx version doesn't do it.
