you might want to look into the abit NF7-S, thats what all the pros use. forget the asus, either get the abit, or the epox. abit has limitations on the amount of vdimm, so if you want a solid over-clocker, then get the epox. i wouldn't underestimate the abit board though.

LMAO, sorry, but you must be fairly new to the ASUS OCing scene?
The A7N8X is the best ocing board out for the AMD setup so far. and the Abit IT7 MAX2 V2.0 for the 478 setup. (P4)
Not only does it OC like mad, but the stability and sheer surpluses are just amazing.

sorry bro, but the NF7-S is what the pros are using to get 1700+'s to 2.6 and beyond. believe that or not, its up to you. why pay the extra money. if you really recommend the asus for the best oc'ing, you're misinformed. go check out what real oc'ers use. oh, it also holds the record in 3dmark for the amd platform with just over 21,000!!! anything you ever say will have no impact on me, cuz i know i'm right.
go read.
edit: oh, and the original test of nforce2 boards at www.anandtech.com shows that the asus isn't the best board for oc'ing. beaten by the epox. and that was months ago, the real(consumers use) boards do all the talking.

My statement was more based to the combination
Not only does it OC like mad, but the stability and sheer surpluses are just amazing.
sorry for any misunderstanding.
*EDIT*
it was itching me, so, I had to look, and if it ain't on futuremark, I don't see it as official.
Sorry, but no abit board on the XP search, and the Athlon submits Abit boards, but no the nForce2 KD7 to be precise.
oh, and check this out
