Finally! A worthy successor for Sports Car GT
You were right mcarag. I got F1 2002 for my bro for Christmas and we loaded the GTR 2002 mod from simmods.
All I can say is amazing. The physics are excellent. Downshift too soon and watch your rear end come around
Graphics are great, run smooth on my GF2 Ti.
He who joyfully marches in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.

Wow, that's some good gravedigging Didn't think we had any sim racers here.
Only bad part is that i'm not good enough to race yet, and I don't have the time right now to spend 40-50 hours practicing like the readme says.

One really thoughtful aspect of the mod is that they offer a several levels of traction, pedal, and steering assistance to help beginners get into the game. Hard to believe they put all that in for free.
But stripping down all the training wheels makes for probably the most grueling driving I've ever experienced on a PC (or anywhere, for that matter). I used to play Sports Car GT with my Logi Rumble Pad; with GTR 2002, I can't imagine anything less than a great wheel, pedals, and shifter - especially for races that last for several dozen laps.
