1942 classes

First off, the BAR is lethal from almost sniper range. Medics are great support units, but don't have the power for a charge-in assault. Also, you can blow up a tank in one shot with a bazooka if you hit it from the rear. I usually play online with friends, so we back each other up. For example, one medic and one assault guy or one guy in a tank and one engineer.

The BAR is definitely the #1 killer of Axis troops. Medics don't stand a chance against it.

BAR is the ONLY reason to play Allies. I always try to grab one off a dead guy's pack when I'm Axis.

LOL, I'm going to have to call BULL on these posters. The medic is THE class. I've played BF1942 ever since the beta and I've played every class, a lot. The medic is by far the best all-round class. Accurate? HAH! I've killed more assault and sniped more snipers with the medic gun than any other class. If you wait a few seconds, the medic gun's first shot is always straight, always! After a few *plinks* on the enemy and they are dead. For medium range the slight recoil is great for getting your shots grouped together.Ammo? Medic guns have lots of ammo, making you able to take out more soilders. I can get 4 kills if I'm lucky with a full clip. Sometimes more sometimes less, depends on the situation. Damage? Granted the assault does more damage but it's 2 bullets compared to 3, not bad considering I usually get the first shot anyways. With the recoil on the medic gun being what it is, I can usually get headshots or at least more of my bullets to hit. Self Healing? This has got to be the best ability in the game next to repairing tanks. "Oh, I've just killed 3 guys and taken this CP, but I'm only at 2 bars health. What to do? Oh yeah, *reload* *heal self* Time to take out the next CP!" Team Healing? do I really need to explain this? What's better than running into an enemy base and capturing it? Running into an enemy base with all you squad members at full health, backing you up!

LOL, it amazes me how many people just don't see the virtue of the medic. Next thing you'll tell me is that Tank Hangar/Repair Pad camping makes you a l337 h4x0r! Of course, you can keep playing assualts, and I'll keep playing medics... Have fun waiting to respawn!

Look, I play the medic when I'm not an enginner. The medic is a good all-around infantry guy like you said. It does take some strategy to play him though, and most people on this game have no strategy at all. They want to hop in the game and kill stuff. Well, the assualt class is the class for them. If you want to take a more strategic approach, then the medic is the way to go. Also, I can tell you must play on the Allies most of the time because you can not take out an Allied assault troop with the Axis medic gun. The BAR is a beast and will beat you like a red-headed stepchild every time.

Well, you are right, the tommy-gun IS my friend. But I find I'm able to take out Bar's just as easily with any medic gun.

Crouch -> move left a couple feet -> Fire -> (while crouching) move right a could feet -> FIRE -> Repeat till dead. This one tactic alone has given me scores of kills.

But I find people put too much faith in the bar. It's good, damn good, but i'd rather have a tommy.

I'd have to say the the medic's gun is better, but I still play assault for one bad reason. If I'm not a medic I don't have people yelling at me to come and heal them!

ROFL Some people are satified by helping others. I find a healthy team is a happy team.
