Question Need a good CDRW/ DVD-ROM combo drive

It's for my friend's Dell P3-866 system which has one of those crappy mini-tower cases with only one 5.25" drive bay.
    Anyone have any recommendations??
Not sure if I trust LG or Goldstar, how are Samsung's CDRW drives?? Newegg has the Samsung CDRW Combo Model SM-348BEA 48x24x48/16x DVD-ROM for $90.

edit: Will his system be fast enough to play DVDs or will I need to upgrade his video "card"?? P3-866, 320MB PC133 RAM, 810 chipset, onboard video, cheap soundblaster sound card

I would recommend the Lite-On 48x12x48 CD-RW drive and the Toshiba 1712 model. The Lite-On drive is cheap and works very well. The relatively quiet operation of the Toshiba drive is also a plus and it handles CD-ROM´s and DVD-ROM´s quite well. The Toshiba drive is not that expensive either.

He only has one full size drive bay which is why I specified COMBO drive. AFAIK Lite-On doesn't make one.

The Toshiba combo drive only writes at 32x and plays DVDs at 12x. For $10 more the Samsung drive writes at 48x and plays DVDs at 16x.

I've heard good things about the samsung combo drive, but I've never tried it personally.

yep, his system can play dvds completely in software mode with no problems as long as he doesn't run anything else while watching dvds

    Cool

Thanks for the input guys. Ordered the Samung combo drive last night.
Am getting a free T-shirt from Newegg because I pointed out that they have it listed as 2MB buffer instead of 8MB.
