    Cables that glow?

I want to put some blue CC tubes in my cases along with some fans w/blue LEDs. I've seen some cables that look silver under normal light and glow blue under UV. My question is: Are there any UV lights that glow blue or are they all a purple/violet color. I really want these blue glowing cables but I want the lighting in my case to stay blue. Any info would be appreciated. Are there any other types of cables that would glow under a Blue CC light? Thanks.

I don't know of any blue UV lights, but you might get a desirable effect using both a blue light and a UV light together.

Yeah I was just thinking of that. Maybe two blue CC tubes would do away with most of the purple glow from a purple UV but still allow the UV to make the cables glow. Maybe I will even put a blue cc and purple UV at both the top and bottom. Maybe to bright? Any other thoughts. Anyone here use two CC tubes?
    Thanks.

    Would something like this work?
    UV tube - no light

A blue CCFL tube would drown out the effects of a UV CCFL, so I would suggest one or the other.

If you go to my website in my sig, you'll see a section there for my computer (labled "system"). Under there i've got some pics of my case, which has one blue cc and a uv/black cc, both from svcompucycle.

A camera can't quite get the color you get in real life, but with the blue cold cathode in, the case glows all blue, yet still leaving the black uv cc to make my cables glow a nice green that is still very visible. My recommendation to you is that when you get everything, position your lighting so it looks the best, just try out as many positions as you can.

Sweet! Nice case. That's exactly what I'm looking for. So a couple of questions. How many blue CC did you use? What size? How many UV tubes? What size? Any fans with LEDs? What did you use to cover your power cables? Where did you get your lighting from? (newegg, etc.) Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of making something very similar to your case but in a chenming/chieftec.
    Thanks,

I used just 1 blue cc, 12", and 1 uv tube, also 12". They both run off the same inverter, all purchased from svcompucycle.com

2 of my fan's are antec tri light blue's, and 2 are the standard ones that came with my case (they are hidden behind the hard drives). I just used paper based 3M tape to cover up my power cables.

You did a nice job with the placement of the CCFLs. I've got an ATC-111 and I wanted to do the same with a UV light and the cables. Oh and one more thing, I hate the fade from page to page on your webpage (I'm a picky mofo)
