    8x 4x?

won't the 8x just be 4x compatable and run at 4x.... so really you wouldn't be using the card to its maximum potential.

Yup, but somehow my Ti4200 8X is faster(just a little bit) than my Ti4200 4X on my P4PE board (only has 4X AGP).

well, the 8x AGP bus is much faster than the 4x agp bus, but right now, most games don't even use all the bandwidth available to the 4x spec, so switching to 8x will provide little noticeable difference. Once games start requiring more memory bandwidth between the card and the rest of the system, then you'll start to see a difference.

I believe that some of the Ti4200 8x cards have better ram than the Ti4200 4x cards.....
