BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH, but different

hello, recently i have been getting a very odd blue screen of death

it seems as if all of the words have been shifted all of the way to the left (not centered, like they normally are) and its one of those error ones (not the ones that say ctrl alt del to continue or whatever).

it happens when i start up and sometimes when going inot and out of programs

i cannot make out what it says because its all shifted to the left, and parts of the letters are cut-off and it doesnt look like it was ever really english at all

i dont know what this is or what its connected to.....i have run a virus check and system diagnostics and everthing came up clean

if anyone knows or has experienced this, please let me know how to fix it

BTW, i am using a Dell Inspiron 8200 and Win Xp Home

Look in your system event log for the error.

Start, Settings, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer.

When you get the error, what are some of the text strings near the upper left? In particular, do you see the word STOP followed by some numbers like 0x000000c4? If so, go to http://support.microsoft.com and search on those numbers (called a STOP Code).

the error message i get is all distorted - the letters are all shifted to the left and it seems as if parts of it are missing

this error doesnt seem to be logged in the file as i see nothing that realtes to it

Can you boot into safe mode? If so, try reinstalling your video drivers.
