finally got decent pics of my system... a lot of them (56K warning)

hey all (edit: DAMN IT! ..netfirms is down.. piss me off)

    Edit again:
netfirms finally came back up, but it put an end to remote linking of pics...
    here's the pics... http://angelfire.com/pq/korndogg/temp.html

where's the cheapest place to get a .com? and will i be guaranteed to be able to remote link to pics on my webspace?
    </Edit>

finally got some pics of decent quality to show off my system.. there's also sort of a question at the end of this post...
also, these pics don't do any justice for how well the water glows with highlighter in it... i couldn't get a good "in the dark" pic.

    waterblock..

    dual radiators

the reservoir i made.. i like it. perfect fit (notice how it bends around my sound card?
hmmm... i seem to have too many pics...
i'll see if i can reply with the rest..

like the style of the front of this case? not the matrix.. not the dragon.. the scorpion! hehe

...the fan pulling air through one of the radiators.. i made that blowhole with a dremel.. you can see how smooth it is at the top of the pic.. see the reflection?

    whole desk area..

    the other side..

again, the front of my case... like? i like the design, but it's kind of restrictive.. which is the question that i mentioned at the top of the post.. i'm thinking that i should cut this design in between the case badge and the power switchs... there are LED fans behind there, i think it would look good... anyone think i'll run into problems by doing this with my dremel? heh..

hope you like, i've been meaning to get these pics for a while now..

now it's time to update the page in my sig... hmmm

yeah, i like having everything in one (...gigantic) case. makes things look a lot cleaner.

the skull is just a decoration on my fill hole
i've had bad experiences making reservoirs where you just screw a plug into a hole in the plexi, so i made a permanent fitting in the plexi that i cap off... not a single leak with this reservoir yet.

    thanks for the compliments

I'd hate to see a leak in one of those tubes.. VERY nice rig, i must say. Your case is HUGE! Also, I suggest you paint the case a different color, looks like its only been primered..

    Jagermeister:
keeps the ram nice 'n' cool
notice how i have 3 sticks of ram with heatspreaders? without those fans, the center stick gets real hot.. and after a few hours of gaming it tends to crash without those fans.

    Mrfreddio55:
that's cause the flash is too bright... it's darker then the pics show..

see the color of the edge on the top there? that's a pretty accurate representation..

I believe those two fans are cooling his RAM chips

Very sweet case, but two cooling rads is crazy! I would love to move to a water cooling or even a pelt cooling mod but I am holding off on that for now

yeah, my next plan is to get a 226watt peltier... that is, if i don't have to spend this cash on a new monitor... i think mine might be running on it's last legs...

Pelts are not very expensive...what is expensive though is the separate PSU you need to get for such a large pelt. I think 226W go for something around $30 a piece...like here:

    http://www.swiftnets.com/store/category.asp?CatID=11

The psu you need to power that puppy is about $110-120.
