cant get sound to work on my abit sr7-8x

hi, i just upgraded my motherboard to the abit sr7-8x. my sound doesnt work and i figured that disabling the on-board soundcard would do the trick. it turns out that my soundblaster live still doesnt want to work properly and i think there must be some kind of a conflict between the onboard soundcard and the soundblaster card. does anyone know how to fix my problem? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks for reading.

Have you checked to see if there are any IRQ confilcts, and updated your drives?

i noticed that there are many irq conflicts, the drivers for the soundcard are up to date though, i have too many devices on the same irq, how can i fix this? under the system devices catagory i have duplicates of a lot of the devices and they each seem to have irq conflicts with themselves. when i remove the duplicates they just reinstall themselves...thanks for the help

well it turns out that i fixed most of the conflicts with the onboard devices, but the sound still doesnt work. The sound card doesnt appear to conflict with any other devices. what should i do?
