Preferred digital audio format?
I was just wondering what people's preferred digital audio format, mp3 or wma, and why?

Stormtrooper Mod
At this point I prefer the original MP3 format, simply because it is popular enough to be easily playable on just about any machine. Yeah I know MP3 Pro is gaining some popularity and there are other better compression:quality formats, but for now I like to get and make high quality MP3s.
Proofread carefully to see if you any words out.

Ditto, mp3 is still the standard. Also, it still does a great job in the compression department. IMO, WMA format doesn't sound as good.

Another mp3 user here.
Though i plan to play around with some of the newer formats soon, so that might change.
My hardware isn't good enough for better sound quality, though, so i'm pretty sure i'll be sticking to mp3 till i upgrade my speaker setup to 5.1.

I'm a big fan of mp3 still. On my comp, it's usually VBR encoded to be sized at about 192 size...
Haven't tried out ogg vorbis yet though, it's supposed to be good.
