Game Recomendations for Xbox

Hi , im am thinking of buying an xbox, because it looks like the best out of all of the consoles and I am wondering what games to purchase. Right now I think I only have enough money for two games, and I would like to have a shooter and a racer. For the shooter, it seems like halo has been getting rave reviews and it looks pretty awsome. For the racer, well I don't really know. I've looked at need for speed hot pursuit 2 but, it sounded kind of crappy. I don't really care about the realism, i basicaly want a fun racer with good graphics and sound. Somthing with good multiplayer options as well.

Well it comes with Sega GT and Jet Grind Radio, so with out any other games you are off to a good start. I recomend Shenmue2 and Panzer Dragoon Orta, both are rather quick but have decent challenge level. If your into the Online Scene check out XBOX Live and MechAssault. Also anything on the Platinum line is a safe bet at only $19.99.

Keep an eye out on this thread for deals. And for shooters I recommend Timesplitters 2 or of course Halo, as for racing there are Project Gotham Racing(my personal fav) and of course you would get SegaGT/JSF game with your purchase. Rallisport Challenge is supposed to be good. But the best games in my experience are these

Mechassault,Halo,CapcomVsSnk2,Splinter Cell

But if you keep an eye on that thread you will get good deals on games.

For the shooter choice I'd suggest you buy either "Splinter Cell", or Max Payne(that's probably cuz I love this game).

Racers:
1.Project Gotham Racing
2.Rallisport Challenge
3.Apex(haven't played it yet)

You won't dissapointed in any of these games (can't speak for Apex, never played it).

You should use Sega GT for your racer

Buy Halo of course and the best game I have played on the XBOX since Halo has been Splinter Cell.

I echo Mr. Fastitocalon's sentiments. Those games freakin' rock. Also add to that Panzer Dragoon Orta and Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball.

Don't get DOA volleyball for the volleyball. If all you want to do is look at awsome models of fake women, then buy it. But the volleyball is really laking. just my opinion.
