    NEC FP912SB 19' , exceptional monitor .

Hi , i hawe a friend who bought this monitor yesterday , after we try to find the best thing in both price and quality we took the NEC FP912SB with a 0.24mm Pitch flat aperture grille wich is the same thing with Mitsubishi diamond pro 930 SB but anyhow this last one is 50 $ more ,... for the name i think.
After testing the monitor i must say that this is the best 19' i ever seen and the price of 268 $ for this quality is realy a damn bargain .
We played BF42 in 1600 x 1200 @ 88 Hz (the guy hawe a 9700 Hercules) and the sharpness of this monitor is incredible and the colours are very bright and clear , man this monitor is realy impressive .
I also played Forgotten battles (IL2) but we could not use 1600x1200 or 1280x1024 because the planes and ground targets are just to small to be hit so we play 1152x870 @ 100 hz with 4 AA/16 AF ,(we also try 120 hz but it look's the same so we let 100 hz) this game look completely new , in his Viewsonic P95F (his old monitor) the terrain look a bit white washed but with the Nec it realy look like a new game , terrain is bright collored and no more whiteness and every small detail is extremely sharp .
The desktop in 1280 x 1024 @ 100 Hz look very clear and is very eye friendly with 0 distortion .
I am realy impressed with this monitor for the price , is an excelent buy so if you look for a awesome 19' fair priced this thing is for you .

Mitsubishi tubes are the best in the business as far as I'm concerned.

wow that sounds great, but where did you buy it?? the lowest price on pricewatch.com is $287. I'm really glad it worked out for you though.

you know what i hate about NEC? they almost always say max operating temp is 90ºF(32ºC)... in the summer it often easily gets to 100ºF(38ºC) and higher.. and my brother's NEC burned out because of that.. that's why i'm currently planning on getting a Viewsonic.. at least they say max operating temp is 104ºF (40ºC)....

edit: we don't have A/C and my room is the hottest because of the location on the house and all of my electronics

oh, no shipping cost. i see. well if i were to buy this monitor from my PA, USA location, I'd probably get it from technonweb.com. they seem to have a reseller rating of like 9.44 or something.

Thumbs up NEC FP912SB 19 inch

Hi thats the one i`am going to be buying myself !!!
i have looked at a ton of monitors online reviewing them because i`am going to buy one next week........
i`ve looked high and low at almost all of them it was a tossup between the cheaper NEC FE991SB which is nice for $259.00 with free shipping or the NEC FP912SB for $287.00 with free shipping this is 1 step up from the nec FE991 in performance .. and it has a killer bandwith of 290 wow plus a solid .24 APerture Grill
i did consider the Sony CPD-E440 it`s nice but not as nice as the NEC FP912SB .

another real nice monitor is the Vision Master Pro 454 but it more money so i`am going with the NEC thanks alot for the review of it now i`am really siked and cant wait to get it )
i did look at the refurbs they have some great deals and merkotech has a 1 year warranty but i`am going brand new nothing like new

Why buy new? As soon as you have bought one it is used. The best used ones to get are company over orders. Where a company over ordered the # of monitors it needed and then shipped the ones they didn't need back. They are just like new, but just in pre opened boxes. Just make sure the one you buy has zero cosmetic defects and all cables/cords come with it.

if good care is taken on a monitor, its indisquinishable from a new one!
