Yeah yeah, but the media has made Crackers into hackers, and given those who shaped Linux (hackers) a bad name also. So I use hackers/crackers interchangebly, so I guess I'm a cracker? Go up to a person and say "I'm a cracker" and they will think you're being racist, go up to them and say I'm a hacker, and they'll be like oh ok computer geek.
I'm talking about the average joe here.

I know what you're saying. At school, in my Comp. Maint. class, my teacher isn't allowed to teach us how to reset CMOS settings via jumper/pressing keys (Can you believe that?!?!) because it overrides system passwords, let alone teach us the default passwords. Troubleshooting technique yes, but the school board sees it as unathorized "hacking".

I've also had to use regedit to remove IE parental settings from a parents computer once I've also kinda stuck my foot in my mouth mentioning there being a easy way around a BIOS password too
Reminds me of when I disabled cybersitter in the sixth grade. God, those prorgrams are so easy to get around, LOL!
