My processor is slowly getting warmer and warmer...

Never broke 40c..then we moved my computer to another room. It went to 41c...43c..it's now at 44c (been running for a bit over 24 hours, full load)..I only have one exhaust fan (PS)..I need to add another. Any suggestions on relatively high flow / low noise fans? I'd like this to be as quiet as the Dell which is next to it, but a little noise isn't too bad..(80mm high speed Sunon in there now, IIRC).

Papst or panaflows are pretty quiet, i prefer adjustable fans, it´s handy to just turn the fans up a little bit when it gets warmer . Also if you haven´t cleaned you case and hs latley it might be time to do so.

Retail Intel heatsink. It had never broke 40c before yesterday..but I'll check for dust anyways.

It's just a rise in ambient room temp. Even 44C is well within acceptable range for that P4. If you want another exhaust fan, maybe a Vantec Stealth. They have an 80mm that is about 24-26 CFM and product about 19 dba.

It's either that your ambient temps have rose, or your heatsink is accumulating dust. Take it off, clean it withe alcohol and reseat with some thermal grease. Before you do that, I'd suggest finding out if your ambient temps rose.

Ambient temps definitely rose..it was uncomfortably warm in here. It's nicer now, and I'm back down to 40c..so I guess I won't worry about it. Time to go for 2.4Ghz..
