Blue Screen When Inserting CD

These's nothing else sharing power there with the dvd drive..

I should try to get a new IDE cable, but that'll take a while...

Bha...Im giving up on this..next week Im getting a new damn pc (see January extreme pc guide for an idea on specs..)

Well, I stuck a CD in there, and It was able to detect the name of the CD and actually go down to the folders, then [blue screen].

Now that I think about it, it most likely is a power issue. This is an old comp, and when I bought it, it was far from bring "high end". So there's a big chance the power supply isn't all that well. Moving from a cd to dvd should draw more power...thats a good explanation..
Now to go beg for a cd drive >.<
