    Laptop options.

    I'm looking for a laptop in the price-range $1000-1400.
    I need one with enough memory ,storage space & a big screen. better to be 256MB RAM,40 GB HDD, 15" monitor.
    which model do u recommend?

    Most notebooks including name brands like Dell, IBM, Compaq...etc are made by few OEM manufacturers in TAiwan. Go to Chembook.com, they have models similar to Toshiba and Dells, same configuration, lower cost. I like the 3020E model, with wireless network built-in, 14"LCD(big enough)40G hard drive, 256M DDR(accept max 1G), DVD/CD-RW, P4-Mobile cpu for $1300.The most important thing is the graphics, Geforce 4 420 mobile with 32M dedicated memory not the "SHARED" like most name brands. Good for gaming.
