    Question Has anyone used VMware???

Has anyone ever used or owns VMware? I basically just want to know if it's worth installing and using. Is it fast and stable?

It's stable enough, but pretty slow. You need to make sure you have *lots* of memory. The more memory you have, the less the speed impact. The best thing to do is to download the 30-day trial and use it for a while. That's the sure fire way to tell if it's worth it to you.

Thank you....As for the memory...would 256MB PC-100 SDRAM be good enough?

Yes. That would probably be good. You can configure it to use however much memory you want it to out of that as memory for the virtual machine.
