    Yamaha Xwave skipping. idea's?

    Hi ppls.
    I recently got hold of a yamaha Xwave soundcard(YMF724F-V) for cheap. It sounds nice but occasionally it'll skip a second of the song. I tried another one but both do the same thing under winXP using XP drivers.
    Havent tested on other OS yet(just about to try it in a win98 box) but the same thing occurs on other machines under XP.

    Im about to go looking for some XP drivers for it hoping that will fix it. If anyone knows anything about this i'd be pleased to hear it.

    Sorry, Gobbler. I, personally, have no experience with Yamaha soundcards. I think it's probable that most others don't either.

    I'm glad to see you got it fixed though.
