Adding a "last updated on..." counter
Hopefully you guys have seen some of the... well I don't know if they are necessarily counters, but on webpages it says "Last updated on xx/xx/xx at xx:xx:xx" What is the code or link that shows me how to do this? I have a tripod website with this on it and I tried looking at the code but I couldn't pinpoint where exactly it was. Maybe I'll give it another look. If anyone could help, it would certainly be alot easier than me MANUALLY entering the date LOL!!! Thanks!

those "last updated on...." texts are generated by SSI (server side includes) using shtml. Your server will have to be configured for this and i doubt tripod allows users to use it (although its possible so let us know).
shtml is pretty well known and you should find alot from google. go check it out!

Radii thanks but I think I figured it out! I'm pretty new to frontpage and all of this website building business, but its fun and I'm enjoying it and learning from it. It turns out that FrontPage has its own little "last updated" counter. If you go to file, then insert and click on "date and time" you have two choices. You can add either a time when the website was last updated manually or the last time the website updated itself. I thought that maybe I had to insert the time everytime I updated, but for some reason (and without me knowing) it automatically does it. So if I updated my website, the counter automatically updates itself as well. It's pretty cool!
