    15,263 3dmark... =(

Something tells me I need to overclock my video card!

Well, I think the score sucks... but games run fast as phuck!

Cpu was at 2.53ghz (Athlon XP that is), and the vid card was butt-stock.

Excellent job lostlilchild6!!! Have you checked out my 3dmark guide(link in my sig)? It may contain some tweaks/tips that you might have passed up.

Have you tried OC'ing the VGA yet? How high does it go with stock cooling?

Also, would it be alright if I added you to the 3dmark database? I already have you in there in the CPU OC section though no 3dmark scores.

Thats not a bad score at all with your VGA bone stock. With some OCing and tweaking you can definitely get it up there.

Just to throw another tip out there. I haven't done any extensive testing on this but I do it, and many others claim it nets you like 50 points.

After you start 3D Mark, hit ctrl-alt-del and go into task manager. Go to your services and find 3D Mark and set the priority to "Real Time".

I can't be 100% sure it does anything cause I haven't done a comparison. But it's easy to do and makes sense, therefore I always do it.

I too set the Priority to "Real Time" while benchmarking. I gained around ~35 points.

Sure... I'd love to be in the database!

If your games are running great, then why do you care what your 3d mark score is? Bleh. Just be happy with your performance. That score seems good enough.

Heh... broke 16k by simply upping the GPU to 350mhz, and the memory to 330mhz.... hehehehe

I remember the day when overclocks on the video cards themselves weren't THIS dramatic .

    So true.

What a lot of people don't understand is that 3D Mark "IS" just like a game to those of us that run it all the time.

What do you do in a regular video game?
    1. Learn how to play it.
    2. Play it and practice it.
    3. Try to get a higher score.
    4. Look for tips on how to get a higher score (or further in the game)
    5. Compete with other
    6. Most impotantly have fun!!

It's just like a game for us. It's everything combined, puzzle solving, nail biting, suspense, competition, and FUN!!!

To each his own, to me, it's just another game.

I would have to agree that tweaking for highest 3DMarks is a lot of fun... It would also burn a very big hole in the pocket if you want to be top dog.. But it is worth it..

I like it when I see the Dragon Low Res hit 400fps.. It looks very nice.. Now if only I can get nature to hit 250fps.. WOW!!!!

no kidding, I spent $40 on an xp1700 just to gain ~900 marks! im thinking of selling my old mobo and getting a new one, cause the new mobo has better drivers, better ram management and timings and of course higher fsbs. Should get me ~2000 more marks

    Your complaining about $40?????

    I wish I can spend only $40

My GPU cooler was almost double that price!
