Question DLink wireless setup. Router works, now to access points?

Ok, I'll try to be short and sweet. I have a DI-614+ wireless router, that has a few wired computers to it, as well as a wireless card in my laptop.

Now... what I want to do is basically set up an access point downstairs, with approx 4 ports, so I can hook up my XBox and my media center PC.

A dlink op told me I'd have to buy 2 (2!!!) Access points. One to hook to the router, 1 to put downstairs and hook to a switch. I'm curious about this bridge tho. If i set this up downstairs, and hook its 1 port up to a switch or a router, would this work?

Any help would be great, I just don't wanna make return trips to the store.

A wireless bridge is exactly what you're looking for. The D-Link DWL810+, Netgear ME101, or the Linksys WET11 should work just fine. Just connect the Ethernet port of the bridge to a switch, and plug your consoles and other computers into that switch.

Man, you rock so hard. Thank you. I figured it would work, but being a paranoid indivual i called DLink first. Big mistake, because like I mentioned he tried to convince me I needed two APs!

You just saved me a lot of money (or hassle of "testing" it first). Cheers to you!
