    Daikatana was Romero's project, his attempt to build another quake like game that failed MISERABLY. In fact, his work since he left id has tanked so badly he started lecturing at UTD (university of texas dallas). hehe, he is a mere mortal trying to compete with the god of graphics engines, Lord Carmack. OK, little overdramatic but too tempting.
