    The prices stop going up linearly, and start going up exponentially after the 2400+.

    Hey all! Thought I'd check back in and thank you for all your help. The 2400+ and SLK-800 have proved to be a pretty nice combo. Regular usage temps are hovering around 38 C with the fans turned all the way up, and 42 C with them turned all the way down. I'm very happy. It's also a very noticeable speed improvement.

    If you don't plan on totally pushing your chip to the limits... and you just want a fairly decent overclock then i say just stay with the stock hsf. Much more quite and temps don't go that high anyways.
