    xp1800 @ 145fsb

I have a epox 8kha + and a amd xp1800 cpu. Well i ran it for a month at 140 fsb. Or xp 1900 speeds. Well just a min ago i bumped it up to 145fsb. Is this safe? I did not mess with the voltage will it run stable or will i need to bump the voltage also? thanks

as long as you're not getting random reboots/blue screens and your temps look fine, it is stable. If it starts rebooting, up your vcore.

If you really want to be sure your system is stable, download Prime95 and run its stress test. As long as you don't get any errors, your system is pretty rock-solidly stable. If you do get errors, try upping your voltage and running Prime95 again.

It can be a tedious process, especially if you up your FSB one MHz at a time, but it's worth the effort. In the long run, it usually takes lesss effort than making huge jumps and having things crash all over the place (although if you know your CPU should be able to do a certain speed, jumping right to it may not be a bad place to start testsing).

Thats a pretty good score. I am only getting 10300 and we both have the same rig, except my cpu is an xp1700 at 145fsb. I know somethings wrong with my rig. Im getting a new mobo and windows 2k this ought to pump me to around 12k like others are getting
3000+ Venice with a top overclock of 2.45GHz at 1.52v
