    Red Hat 9.0 doesn't support MP3's? What to do?

    Is there a way to enable MP3 playback in Red Hat 9.0

    I just installed it two days ago, and I really would like to be able to play MP3's.

    I guess Red Hat didn't want to pay the licesining for it... yes I know, Ogg Vorbis is just as good. But I have a lot of MP3.com downloads and a lot of my CD's were already ripped in MP3 format.

    Head over to xmms.org and download/install the RedHat RPM. That one does support mp3.

    here's me again being a patronising prick...but really after as many posts as you have, you should know to search the board before you ask such a common question. Lately this is becoming second only to which distro should I use...
