Hey you guys, the slab of stuff I ordered from http://www.sounddeadeningmaterial.com arrived today. I'm taking it home tonight and I'll post my thoughts on it tomorrow.
One thing I can tell you right now is that its heavy. Its a three foot roll.

Yes. And if that material is anything at all like Dynamat (as it claims), It converts sound into heat as well.

Ok, got a brown paper roll of something rather heavy about three feet tall yesterday. Got it home and uncoiled it. Just as they promised it was a 9'^2 matt of thier product. I powered down my rig and took it apart, then measured off three sheets and cut. The stuff cuts fine with a regular pair of household scissors. The sticky back is fine for the job its meant to do and then some, I could tell while I was cutting it though. After about 1/2 hour of work (two sides and the top is all I covered) I powered back up. I don't have any hard numbers but the sound is deffinately less than what it was. The material easily added another pound or more to the net weight of my rig too. But I think that to be expected. The stuff really works, I would reccomend it. I've shot pix of this and all the mods I've made to my rig, as soon as my new isp gets it together (the 17th is the hook up date) I'll be putting those online. If you need a sheet of sound muffler, try this stuff out. http://www.sounddeadeningmaterial.com
$30 for a 9'^2 sheet. (That's with shipping, everything.)

How much was the sound reduced by? Like a percentage?

With my recent introduction of two sucking 60mm case fans on one side of the case near the bottom, the rig was pretty bad. When I get the hedgehog/sunon combo installed I assume that the noise will go up even more. With the case fan pair alone the noise I estimate was cut, roughly, by 1/4. This is only by lining 3 sides of the case. I am thinking about how I would go about lining the remaining 3 sides, if at all. I don't think its possible to do the front and the back, but we'll see.

I've heard about sound dampening material but like how much would say of a noise reduction did it cause? 25%? 10%??

Erm... as I stated: "the noise I estimate was cut, roughly, by 1/4." That would be 25% by the old math Phatty.
