    Dual G4 550mhz
    a gig of ram
    and a radeon DDR upgrade
    all with a cinema display
I'm into 3d graphics so that wat i say is the best 4 me!
gaming wont be soo bad not pc but i dont want that.
and a superdrive would be nice cause my rendered animation would be a few gig
and yes Adobe isn't the only program that is better on mac
    Raydream studio pro
Bryce 4 and any metacreations software the list is huge.
I dual Athlon DDR would be better though but that might not be coming out for 12 months

If money was no concern . . .

You know those computers that NASA uses, the ones that have liquid NO2 cooling and triple digit GHz clock speeds. One of those running a more everyday OS.

Oh, TechChic, I got one of those systems sitting in my closet, cept the clock is only 1Mhz.

    Cool

Quad Xeon III 1GHz with 2MB cache each
    suitable motherboard
    at least 1GHz RAM
    ELSA Gloria III
some silicon graphics monitor - I forgot the name, but its damn huge and flat and costs 5 times more than my car is worth
    Ultra Bloody fast SCSI disc

that's enough for nice animation work so I don't care about the rest.

    But, more down to earth:
Dual 1.2 GHz T-Bird (hope motherboards will come out soon)
    512MB DDR
    ELSA Synergy III
another 19 inch monitor for easyer work
with the rest of my system I'm quite satisfied

    P.S.:
Well, maybe a good working optical mouse or something else that wouldn't need cleaning
