    Wireless networking?

Im trying to set up a network in my house, but the problem is that the cable comes in at an akward place in my house. I know that the cable modem has to be the first connection on the cable, so im thinking about wireless networking. My question is, how does this work?
In essence, im trying to plug my cable modem into the cable, on one side of the house, not near any computers. Then, without wires, get internet connections on other computers.

    I appreciate the help guys.

you will need a wireless router with wireless cards (pcr, usb or pcmcia) depending on your needs.
cable modem goes into the router and then the signal will be transmitted to the wireless adapters.
its not that complicated at all.
