OK, so I got Street legal a while back, going against the reviews because I love the sheer concept of being able to modify a car in explicit fashion. My favorite game as a child was Street Rod and this game's description reminded me of that game. In Street Rod you bought cars from a newspaper ad and you had the ability to change/modify the wheels, engine parts, paint, ect. Then you would go cruisin for people to drag race and bet them money. Soemtimes you could race for pink slips and take their cars. ; )

After installing the much needed patches for Street Legal, I did slightly enjoy it, however much imagination was needed for me to have any satisfaction whatsoever. The game is ridiculously under developed. I wish they would have taken some time with it and made it the great game that it could have been. My dream has always been to have a game like Tokyo Extreme Racing, but on crack. Instead of allowing us to change a few things with few options, give us the ability to transform and part of the vehicle with tons of levels of modifications. Gran Turismo is cool, but it's too professional feeling... I wanna race in the neighborhood, pull up to some random guy and honk my horn to race.

Anyhow, my question is (as if you hadn't guessed already), Is there a game that is closely related to the "Street Legal" concept that is out for the PC? I am looking for something that allows me to make cosmetic AND mechincal modifications to a car like in Street Legal, but a much more polished version (at least in the graphics glitch and stability department).

Thanks,

Milo
