Angry new mouse, annoying clicking sound

bought another MS optical mouse (the white one with 1 side button on each side) and the left button (the one everyone uses) makes a lot of noise when clicking, like if it was an old mouse. the old one was also a MS optical mouse but didn't make that much of a noise, maybe becuase it was 2+ year old that mechanism got old

also bought a MS trackball optical for another pc, and doesn't make that annoyin noise, the difference of this MS optical to the old one is it's OEM

Take it back, shouldn't make any noise. Get a Logitech MX500/800 or a Microsoft Intellimouse, much more comfortable.

I have a Microsoft Intellieye Explorer 2.0 and I like my buttons much better than the newer 3.0 version. I bought the 3.0 just to try out the "faster tracking" and found the buttons too noisy. (click!, click!)

Yeah...my Microsoft Intellimouse Optical is a little noisy when I'm doing intense clicking all the time. Logitech makes some very good mouses that don't make very much noise. You should check them out.

nah, just tell them it's busted. they'll give you a new one, no questions asked. you may have to pay the buck or two shipping.

or, you could call microsoft, and they'll send you a new one. you won't even have to send the old one back. their replacement policy is really good on stuff like that.
