ordering new components. can someone comment

I'm upgrading my current system with the following components and was hoping to get some comments and/or recommendations:

    80092-9
    Kingston HyperX KHX3200/256 256MB DDR400 PC3200 Memory w/Heat Spreader Retail ***(Free 2nd Day)***

    604631
Microsoft Windows XP Pro Single (Full Version) OEM ***(Free 2nd Day)***

I'll mainly be using this system for gaming and other applications. I'll also be putting in a ATI 9800 video card. All of this will go into an Enlight 7237 case. 2 questions:
    1) when you order a CPU/heatsink/fan combo, does it already have thermal grease on the CPU or do you need to do that yourself?
    2) Does UPS require a signature upon delivery for the free 2 day delivery?
I'll be ordering from googlegear. Thanks

IIRC, Intel heatsinks come with a thermal pad, not thermal paste. If you really want to overclock, go with some nice paste like Artic Silver, but at stock speed the pad will do fine.

I think UPS does, but you can request that UPS leave all packages at your door. You can call UPS customer service for the details, but you can waive signitures.

Hey there, I have a similar order in with Googlegear that I placed last Saturday. I can't comment on the delivery because I haven't received my order yet either. But you gotta love that free second day delivery! I ordered 7 different parts - all of them with free 2 day delivery & no tax - and at great prices to begin with!!! Love it!

Anyhow, your retail CPU will be coming with a HSF unit - but there will be no thermal grease applied. And....I wonder if it even comes with some? A friend at work got a retail P4 2.4 earlier this year, and it did not.

But, like Dalhectar said, if you aren't OCing...the pad will work fine.
