    Question Upgrading memory

I just purchased my laptop last weekend and want to upgrade the RAM to 512MB. The only problem is is that I can't find the specifications for RAM on the Compaq/HP website. Needless to say, I'm not going to go buy the over-priced RAM from Compaq/HP. I just want to be sure that what I buy will work the first time so I don't have to mess with restocking fees. Check out my laptop spec below. Any suggestions on what to look for when buying notebook RAM would be appreciated.

    Hey

When buying laptop memory i've gotten use to going to kahlon.com

Here's a direct link for your exact lappy:
    http://www.kahlon.com/result.asp?modelID=36184

Through Kahlon, you choose your computer brand and model and they then show you the compatible memory designed for your laptop.
    You can't go wrong : )

crucial.com and kingston.com are also great web sites for looking up memory for specific systems. Crucial in particular has a reputation for making some of the highest-quality memory on the market since they're a division of Micron. They manufacture their own chips and circuit boards, helping to ensure compatibility. They usually offer free second-day shipping, too. Kingston also has a very good reputation for compatibility -- good enough that if you buy memory from Toshiba for their own laptops, they're selling you Kingston memory.

Here are links to their pages for your system:
    Presario 2100 Series on crucial.com
    Presario Notebook 2135CA/2135EA/2135US on kingston.com
