Power supply...can it handle this load? Also, noise...
Okay...so if all goes ideally this will be my comp soon enough...
Weeeee!
My only problems rest in the fact that:
a) I'm not sure that the 200W PSU in the Shuttle can handle the load of a fast graphics card, 1GB of RAM, a (hopefully overclocked) 2.4 GHz P4, 2 hard drives, and other normal system stuff. Anybody know if this even sounds feasible?
b) I've heard that the new Shuttles are loud...does anyone have experience with this enough to tell me how much it would bother someone with 5 fans currently, the loudest being a Sunon 80 mm (about 40 dB), the others being the Adda case fans that ship with Lian Li cases? Is the fan in the Shuttle XPCs replaceable?
c) Is there an expected update that will make the 865 chipsets less flaky about memory?
Also, does anyone have any suggestions for the system? I know the 9500 Pros are probably gone forever...call me a wishful thinker. Feel free to replace it with a 9600 in your mind.

a) I don't even think a 300 could handle it. Grab this power supply.
b) Don't know
C) Don't know
I'm not familar with that Shuttle board.

Whoops
Perhaps I should have clarified...by "Shuttle" I mean "Shuttle XPC series", which means that replacing the PSU is not really an option.
Edit: Found this link, seems at least reasonable to expect it to work now...

A good 300w could handle that. I had my CPU, 3 HDDs, 3 Optical Drives, SB Live, TV Card, 8500, and five fans on my 300w and it never skipped a beat. Rails were rock solid from the day I got it.

I can tell you one thing, that power supply will barely make it. Since Shuttle uses VERY hard to find power supplies, it'll be hard finding a beefier Unit.

I read in Maximum PC that they were surprised at how well the PSU handled the modern 3D accelerators. They threw a 9700Pro in there with no problems at all. I guess it is because there aren't a lot of other components in there or something.
